About Me

working with kids to learn DSLR photography

I gave my son his first digital camera for his second birthday. Now that he is eight, we have upgraded from the toy camera to one of my older DSLR camera. He has come a long way as a photographer and has even begun learning how to do things with that camera that I hadn't even learned how to do. Learning how to take photos with a DSLR camera with my son has been fun, interesting and a time that I will cherish forever. We have created this blog to share everything that we have learned during our learning adventure.

Technology and Weddings

Technology plays a huge role in day-to-day life. Each day millions of Americans use their smartphones and computers to browse the web, post pictures and videos, and keep in touch with friends and family. Since technology is now such a big part of everyday life, it's no surprise that it plays a big role in important life events, as well. One big event that can be enhanced with technology is a wedding. Technology can help guests and family connect and share in the days before and after the big day.

Slide Show

The main goal of any wedding day is celebrating the couple who are joining their lives together. There are many ways that technology can help achieve this goal. During the reception or even before the ceremony is a great time for a slide show that celebrates the couple with pictures and music. These slide shows can be created by the couple themselves. However, for a seamless and unique presentation, couples may want to consider hiring a professional that offers slide show services. A professional can create a touching presentation that the couple will enjoy for years to come. These shows can even be added to and then viewed again for anniversaries.

Hashtags are one of the most unique parts of social media. By clicking on a hashtag, social media users are able to see pictures and posts that use that hashtag. Having a wedding hashtag is a great way for guests to be able to view all of the pictures and posts from the event in one easy step. Now around 55% of weddings have their own hashtag. Creating a hashtag is an easy and free way to use technology in order to enhance the wedding experience. Couples should come up with a wedding hashtag early on and let their friends and family know to tag their posts and pictures with that hashtag.

Live Streaming

When it comes to weddings there is no perfect wedding date. Often at least a few guests are unable to make it to the event. However, this does not mean that they have to miss out on the ceremony. More and more tech-savvy couples are using live video streaming services during their ceremonies and receptions. These services make it possible for friends and family all over the world to be able to participate in a couple's special day.

Technology is a major part of everyday life. It's also becoming a big part of weddings. Slide shows, hashtags, and even live video streaming are all different types of technology that can enhance the wedding experience.
